Our Story

Matthew and I met on New Years Eve in 2017 after being set up on a blind date by our friends. Despite a midnight kiss and a few amazing dates, the timing wasn’t right for us yet, but we stayed in touch. In March of 2021, we were brought together once again by our friends. I was living at home while finishing up my Masters degree, and Matthew was in town from Pittsburgh visiting his parents. After determining I was single, Matthew asked me on our second first date.

The beginning of our relationship was a whirlwind between my schoolwork and Matthew’s out of state job. Despite the distance, we both knew we had found our match! I had already accepted a job in Tampa once I graduated, so Matthew found a job there too. Unfortunately, his job was in person and started sooner than mine, so we were back to long distance. We spent two months living in a variety of Airbnbs (some nicer than others) and commuting back to West Palm on the weekends, before we moved into an apartment together in September of 2021.

After a few rounds of long distance, three years in Tampa, and two Chiefs Super Bowl wins, Matthew popped the question at our favorite resort in the mountains of West Virginia.

Since then, we have (happily) moved back to Palm Beach Gardens.

We are so excited to be exchanging vows in front of our friends and family this summer back in the Appalachian Mountains. We can’t wait to share our special day with you and start this new chapter of our lives!
